MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE

• Position the monitor at the same level as your heart during measurement to ensure accurate readings.

• BP changes with every heartbeat and is in constant fluctuation throughout the day

• BP measurement can be affected by the position of the user, his or her physiologic condition, and other factors. For the greatest accuracy, wait 1 hour after exercising bathing, eating, drinking beverages with alcohol or caffeine, or smoking to measure BP

• Before measurement, it is suggested that you sit quietly for 15 minutes as measurements taken during a relaxed state will have greater accuracy. You should not be physically tired or exhausted while taking a measurement

• During the measurement, do not talk or move your arm or hand muscles

• Press the “+” button to choose User 1 or User 2. After the user number is selected, press the START/STOP button to confirm the chosen user

• With the cuff wrapped around your wrist, press the START/STOP button. Sit quietly and let the monitor do the rest

  1. Q Does it matter if you wear it on the back or front of your wrist?
    A Thank you for your question. Per the instruction book, Remove all watches, wrist jewelry,etc. prior to attaching the wristmonitor. Clothing sleeves shouldbe rolled up and the cuff shouldbe wrapped around bare skin forcorrect measurements.2. Apply cuff to left wrist with palmfacing up.
  2. Q Can this be used with an AC adapter?
    A Thank you for your question. This product uses batteries only.
  3. Q What is the Case made of? Is it a hard plastic?
    A The case that contains the wrist monitor is hard plastic... yes.
  4. Q where is it manufactured
    A Don't know where it's made. However, it's not accurate and I do not recommend it. It have trashed mine.
  5. Q Can you use if you have a Peacemaker
    A Unless your pacemaker is on your wrist, and it’s NOT... using a wrist BP monitor would not effect, or be affected, by your pacemaker.
  6. Q Does it read your results outloud to you? Lets you know if your pressure is high or low?
    A This model doesn't as far as I can tell. I'm not real happy with it like I was the previous HoMedics wrist BP monitor I had for approx. 20 years -- have to turn it on and off sev. times before it will pump up and get a reading.
  7. Q Is it FDA approved
    A I never checked to see if it was FDA certified. However, after 3 years, it stopped functioning and I replaced it with a more reliable arm cuff from the VA.
  8. Q can you hear the pulse as it takes the blood purssure?
    A Why would you be listening to the pulse while you take the blood pressure? Since its a digital piece of equipment, there's no need for that. You only listen for the first beat and last beat of a pulse when you measure blood pressure with a manual sphygmomanometer.
