  4. Q Mine is not synchronizing with wifi and bluetooth is just dropping off way too often. in description it doesnt state if works with 5ghz wifi. does it?
    A Dont think it would 5ghz cause that would be power hungry .just connect it to the normal 2.4 wifi just give time it will just make sure the registered weight corresponds with your profile or account
  5. Q Does this measure bmi or bmr and is that accurate?
    A Currently, Body Cardio only measures BMI. Yes, the measurement is accurate so long as you correctly entered all the profile information.
  6. Q Where is this made?
    A The Withings Body Cardio scale and other Withings scales are manufactured in China but engineered in France. For quality check and inspection, all the units are shipped to our warehouse in the US and Europe.
  7. Q Is pulse wave enabled if delivered to Thailand?
    A Please know that the Pulse Wave Velocity is available only for customers who purchased the scale in Europe. The PWV availability is based solely on where the scale was purchased, not where it is being used.
  8. Q Has anyone who recently bought this scale can comfirm if its the newer model or the old one made by nokia?
    A This is the newer model of the Body Cardio scale made by Withings. However, please note that Nokia and Withings-branded products are identical in all aspects except for the name. They receive the same support and software updates.
  9. Q is the Pulse wave velocity enabled in the USA?
    A Currently, the Pulse Wave Velocity is not yet available in the U.S. We are working closely with the FDA and we aim to bring back the feature to our U.S. users in the foreseeable future.
  10. Q is this the current May4 2021 updated model?
    A The Body Cardio has one model only. The version that we released on the 4th of May was a firmware update to add new features to the scale.
  11. Q I see no pulse wave velocity ( 2021), but does it give vascular age” or neither.? This question is for the United States.
    A Body Cardio scale (US) will have a Vascular Age feature but not PWV. The PWV feature is not yet certified in the US but we are actively working on bringing it back.   12. Q does withings body cardio use Noom app?
    A No, Body Cardio does not work with the Noom app as it is designed to work only with Health Mate. I have forwarded your feedback to our development team.
  13. Q If you upgrade to this scale from one of the older Withings models, does your weight history transfer over smoothly?
    A As long as you are using the same Health Mate account, there is no need to transfer any data as it is saved on our secure server. All you need to do is to install the new scale and let it send data to your account.
  14. Q If there’s 2 users, would each of their data sync to their own Apple Health?
    A No, only the main user of the Body Cardio scale will see the synced data in Apple Health.
  15. Q can it be used without wifi?
    A Yes. The Withings Body Cardio scale can be used without being connected to WiFi. Nevertheless, it would only work as a normal weighing scale.
  16. Q does it have a usb c port?
    A No, it does not have. The Withings Body Cardio scale only has a micro USB port for its micro UBS cable.
  17. Q Last month the scale doesn't synchronise with my phone.. and even the scale doesn't show any thing except weight.. what can i do ?
    A Please try and return for a refund, there're many issues with this thing.
  18. Q Is anyone finding that bone mass is massively underestimated?
    A I hope so. Average skeleton weighs 30 lbs for men and 20 lbs for women. My scale says men are 7.5 lbs and women are 3.5 lbs. which makes me wonder about the other measurements from the scale.
  19. Q Does the app cost money to have full access to view your metrics and trends, etc.?
    A No cost for the app or to view trends. Compatible with Apple Health and other fitness apps. Check out the latest specs at the App Store; look for Health Mate.
  20. Q Does this, as well as the thermo and bpm connect all convey information to the apple heath app? i’m trying to minimize how many apps to use.
    A Yes. You can share the data provided by these devices with Apple Health. Keep in mind that for the Body Cardio scale, currently, you can only sync weight and fat mass measurements to Apple Health.
  21. Q For athletes, does this scale/app support twice daily measurements (pre and post workout for instance)? Or does it only retain the last measurement?
    A The scale records every measurement into its database with a timestamp. The app/website will not isolate out ONLY the first weight of day or the last weight of the day but if you really need that data, there is a method of downloading the raw data into a format you can open with a spreadsheet program. Once it is in a spreadsheet, as long as you know how to manipulate data, you can create your own view of the existing raw data. If you don't know how, there are many tutorials on different tasks for this on the Internet.
  22. Q Does it show kg and lbs? i want to buy for a rental house and i have europe a clients who want the kg measurements.
    A The Body Cardio can display the unit of weight measurements either in kilograms or pounds.
  23. Q Does the current version (shipping aug 2020) have the pwv function enabled ?
    A The Pulse Wave Velocity feature is available once again to all users who have bought or will purchase a Body Cardio in Europe. If you're currently in the U.S., we are currently working closely with the FDA, and we aim to bring back the feature in the foreseeable future.
  24. Q Will it connect with just bluetooth? or do you have to connect with wifi?
    A Yes. You can connect the Body Cardio scale to Bluetooth only.
  25. Q Are you able to link 2 scales (e.g., upstairs and downstairs) to the same app?
    A I believe so.
  26. Q If I use this scale when there’s no internet connection, will it save the data and upload once there is a connection? How many can it store?
    A I've had it save for weeks at a time without noticed issue
  27. Q I have my fitness pal 12 month subscription. if i buy this scale do i need to buy a new subscription? this scale will not work without?
    A No subscription needed, just download the free app. It also integrates with other health apps.
  28. Q Are there any legit reviews here left by people that actually paid for the product?
    A I paid for the product. I liked the scale until it suddenly died. Checked Withings support pages, and discovered this was a fairly common problem anywhere from 3 months to a couple of years. After the one-year warranty Withings support will usually offer a 25% discount on a new scale, which didn't leave any of the posters happy. A couple managed to fix theirs by opening it up and soldering in a new telephone battery they picked up on ebay. Given that the Withings Body and body+ models use 4 AAA batteries that they say last up to 2 years, those models seem to be less risky than the USB cable charged battery in the body cardio. Especially if you only need weight, bmi and weather.
  29. Q Seller...can you assure me that if i buy now (1/2/2020) you will ship the latest model withings-branded product, and not a nokia-branded product?
    A I ordered a Withings twice in the past few weeks and received Nokias instead both times. Sent them both back and am ordering the Withings from their withings.com online store instead. Grrrr... This is significant misrepresentation!

  35. Q Has anyone ordered the withing's body cardio scale and received a nokia one that looks identical?
    A I certainly did as you can see my review before saying “buyer beware”. It was this exact scale and model. The outside box said Withings, but the interior box said Nokia. And sure enough the scale also said Nokia. Looked identical to Withings but was clearly not. Sent it back and took a chance and reordered the same exact one as a reorder of my original purchase. I received it yesterday and it was the correct item this time. A Withings scale with both the outside box and interior box as well as the scale itself having the correct name.
  36. Q can you set different users to use different units? I prefer lbs but my husband prefers kg
    A Yes, the app options let you set metric or imperial and settings go by profile so you and your husband can have different settings.

    A It's made by Nokia but, sadly, no.
  38. Q Is there a measurement of visceral fat?
    A Yes, there is. Body Fat %, Subcutaneous Fat %, and Visceral Fat %. How accurate? not sure.
  39. Q I just bought and received this scale today. it is branded nokia, does that mean it is an older scale or are new ones still nokia?
    A Older. I bought a Nokia after Withings bought back the company, but couldn't wait for them to start production of products with a different name on them. Same great product, different label. I believe because of the name it was at a reduced price when I bought it as well. If you're way over weight you won't be able to see the label while standing on it anyway. lol

    A According to the terms listed on the fsa website no scale of any type is eligible

    A Hi, the maximum is 396 lbs which is 180 kg... minimum is 9lb which is 5 kg

    A you can screen capture with your cel and print or share results. they send a weekly email too

    A Appears battery can be changed but not user friendly. You will have to hack into it.

    A Have had this for about a month and have yet to recharge after initial charging.

    A I believe the usb cable is the charger.
  50. Q Why did I get a scale that says Nokia when pictured product says withings?
    A Nokia owned them for a while, rebranded everything, then spun them off on their own again. Check the Withings Wikipedia article if you want further details on the specifics of what history.
  51. Q How do you turn it on? Is it the kind you have to tap or hit to wake up?
    A If you leave it on the floor, you just step on it. I leave it in a cabinet, leaning against the side, and when I pull it out and put it on the floor, it turns on (registering ~3.3lbs), then quickly turns off and zeros, then I just step on it (I tested the first few times, just tapping it to verify it was zeroed first, and it was).In short, "just use it", it should remain zeroed. There really isn't an "off" or "on" as a whole, it is just the display state, really.
  52. Q What charging cable is used for this? I need a replacement
    A Contact Nokia regarding a new cable. That's where I would go first, they will direct you in the appropriate direction. Phone doesn't fit, although try your phone charger.
  53. Q Has anyone compared heartrate to a real medical device? Is this accurate for heart rate with a real monitor?
    A It's trash, mine always reads 120-130bpm. I'm pretty sure that's not my resting heart rate
  54. Q How well does it work for transgender individuals (bf, bmi, etc?)
    A Since you are putting in the information on your phone it should work the same for any individual, it should work fine.
  55. Q What is the maximum weight this scale will register?
    A 400 pounds
  56. Q Will this work with samsung health?
    A I would Google Withings and ask if it works with Samsung Health. I can't answer that, I do not know, I currently use my Withings Nokia scale with my Motorola e plus phone.

    A Don’t know. Mine’s on the floor

    A Just received mine directly from Withings website and it does do heart rate... don’t know about pulse velocity though. Don’t see that in the customization screen but it might be in the App somewhere.
  60. Q Will it sync with the Fitbit app?

  62. Q Can you replace the lithium ion battery?
    A I don't know for sure although if you haven't bought the scale and you're thinking of purchasing it don't, once the battery gets to 85% it loses all naming functions and you have to plug it in I should be able to go a lot further battery wise than 85% and I haven't even had the scale 7 months.
  63. Q What wifi does this see? Like wireless n and newer modles wifi modles?
    A My scale only sees g. Not n/b/ac and only 2.4. This scale is the only reason I have to have g compatibilty left on on the nearest Wifi AP.
  64. Q Are you able to link 2 scales (e.g., upstairs and downstairs) to the same app?
    A I have multiple scales, and multiple people, in my Health Mate app and it can handle it

    A I do it with myfitnesspal works very well

    A I use GC and I cannot find a way. GC cannot connect directly to Health Mate. GC can connect to Apple Health but there is no feed for weight.
  67. Q Do you need a wifi connection to use this scale with your phone or can you sync them with bluetooth?
    A The initial connection will be via bluetooth to sync the scale to the phone & then it will link to wifi. Once connected to wifi the data automatically uploads to your phone. However, I have never tried to sync the data with bluetooth only but I’m sure it is possible. I’ll check.
  68. Q Does it tell your fortune?
    A Unfortunately, no. :) But it does tell me the weather, which is nice to see first thing before I dress for the day.
  69. Q Does this scale sync to the apple watch and iphone health app?
    A yes it is best to use the health mate application which is free i have all on health mate and apples heathj and have no problems at all

    A no just outside temp and forecast for the day

    A Yes you can if it’s one of the listed devices in the app
  72. Q Does this scale have a plug-in option or just batteries? What type of batteries and how long do they last?
    A This scale is a plug in and not batteries. I have only charged mine once in a year, the app will show you the battery level and let you know when it needs to charge.
  73. Q Does this support multiple devices so each person can keep track of their own progress on their own devices?
    A Yes - once you set it up on one phone/user you can go into device settings and share the scale with multiple people (it will create a link that you can text or email) who can then create their own accounts on their phones.
  74. Q What is the maximum weight this scale will register?
    A I believe it is 350 pounds
  75. Q can i access without phone
    A Hi...you’re can still get your weight and bf composition as well as the other statuses, but you won’t be able to track and record it....so it’s not necessary to have a smart phone.
  76. Q What is the manufacturers warranty on this item? And what is the return policy if something goes wrong during that Warranty period?
    A I haven't had any issues with my scale and I do like the information it gives me. I believe if you look on Nokia's website you will find the information your looking for.
